Visionary partnership

Together, Ivoclar and exocad pave the way into the world of digital dental prosthetics

Schaan, Liechtenstein – 9 May 2024

Ivoclar, one of the world's leading manufacturers of integrated solutions for high-quality dental applications with an extensive product and systems portfolio for dentists, dental technicians and dental hygienists, offers with its Ivotion Denture System a solution that is perceived industry-wide synonymously with the fast and efficient fabrication of esthetic removable, customized prostheses. The Ivotion Denture System enables a simple, efficient and fully digital manufacturing process for high-quality dentures – in particular with the integration of the Ivotion Denture add-on module in exocad’s DentalCAD software.

Perfectly coordinated – how users benefit from the exocad integration

The long-standing collaboration between Ivoclar and exocad, one of the leading providers of dental CAD/CAM software, enables users to realize an efficient manufacturing process for the digital fabrication of high-quality, removable dentures. The exocad DentalCAD software reliably supports Ivoclar's entire digital production process: from scanning and design to fabrication. Together, Ivoclar and exocad set new standards in digitalization of complete prosthetics. Even the standard version of the software covers many application areas – including complex ones – and offers attractive application options. The strength of DentalCAD lies in its simple and intuitive operation with the software interface mirroring the analog working environment. The manufacturing process enables a customized digital fabrication and a result tailored to the patient's needs. In addition, the FullDenture module provides users with tooth libraries, morphing tools and set-up functions for the design of complete dentures. The Ivotion Denture add-on module also contains all features of the patented oversize process in conjunction with the tried-and-tested discs Ivotion Base, Ivotion Dent und Ivotion Dent Multi. Also available are the features of the monolithic process with Ivotion and the shell geometry, which complete the range of applications. Particularly interesting for users who already have an Ultimate Lab bundle license for the exocad software: The Ivotion Denture add-on module is automatically enabled with the upgrade to Elefsina. This update offers now easy access to the module and an efficient solution for the digital fabrication of prostheses. Only Ivoclar’s dental libraries need to be ordered separately.

The Ivotion Denture System – an innovation on track for success

With the Ivotion Denture System, Ivoclar has established new standards in the fabrication of complete dentures. As an integral part of the Digital Denture workflow, this advanced system allows users to digitally fabricate dentures quickly and efficiently. The combination of user-friendliness and speed with which results are achieved has impressed both users and patients alike.

The pioneering Ivotion disc is at the heart of the Ivotion Denture System. The disc plays a crucial role in the monolithic fabrication of complete dentures by combining proven tooth and denture base materials in one single disc. This method cuts down on manufacturing time compared to conventional methods, in line with the motto: one disc, one milling process, one denture.

Another option is to use the patented oversize process for convenient denture fabrication. The oversize process is noted for being straightforward and efficient, and for providing consistent and reliable results. Until now, this process has only been available on Ivoclar milling machines. From summer 2024 onwards, the vhf mills will also have the capacity of using this efficient production method.
