The Ivoclar Group, one of the world's leading manufacturers of integrated solutions for high-quality dental applications with an extensive product and systems portfolio for dentists, dental technicians and dental hygienists introduces Ivotion Base Print, its first 3D printing material for permanent applications[1] which stands out for high quality, durability and esthetics. The material allows for the efficient 3D printing of denture bases in proven PMMA quality and integrates seamlessly into the 3D printing workflow from Ivoclar. In combination with the PrograPrint system, Ivoclar optimises digital dental technology, providing dental labs worldwide with innovative solutions for enhanced accuracy and accelerated denture fabrication.
3D printing revolutionises dental technologies, enabling the fabrication of dental restorations with greater accuracy and improved efficiency. The seamless integration of this technology into digital workflows opens up entirely new possibilities for dental technicians, from planning and design to the final fabrication. The Ivotion product line from Ivoclar is a key component of this development, leveraging innovative solutions to digitally fabricate high-quality, aesthetically pleasing dentures.
Ivotion Base Print is the first 3D printing material for permanent applications in Ivoclar’s portfolio. This new product has been developed to meet the highest expectations in denture prosthetics. Ivotion Base Print stands out for its proven PMMA quality, enabling the fabrication of robust, durable and aesthetically refined denture bases. The material not only provides excellent wearing comfort and high accuracy of fit but also allows for efficient fabrication, significantly optimising workflows in dental labs and between labs and practices. To further support the well-being of customers and patients, Ivoclar made it a top priority to offer a product that avoids harmful substances. After extensive research, Ivoclar has successfully developed a product that is free from TPO and BAPO.
Ivotion Base Print sets new standards in denture fabrication by enabling greater efficiency through simultaneous production. Dental technicians can print denture bases with Ivotion Base Print while simultaneously milling the denture teeth using Ivotion Dent Multi or Ivotion Dent in proven DCL material, significantly increasing efficiency over traditional sequential workflows. The material also impresses with its ease of use and can be processed easily and contact-free with the PrograPrint PR5, ensuring a reliable 3D printing process and simplifying day-to-day work in the lab. Aesthetically, Ivotion Base Print excels with three different shades, allowing for precise customisation to meet various patient needs. Moreover, the material exhibits low stain and plaque affinity[2], leading to esthetically appealing and durable dental restorations. It is ideal for the fabrication of denture bases for removable full dentures and can be processed in a validated workflow in the PrograPrint system as well as in other authorised printing systems.
The PrograPrint system from Ivoclar addresses the challenges of everyday digital lab work, ensuring the successful realisation of 3D printing projects. Building on Ivoclar's extensive experience in dentistry, the system offers reliable precision and ease of use at every step of the workflow.
The PrograPrint workflow begins with the state-of-the-art PrograScan PS7, which simultaneously and fully automatically scans models or impressions of the upper and lower jaw. The exocad Dental CAD and 3Shape Dental System software solutions offer powerful, efficient and user-friendly design capabilities. The PrograPrint CAM software allows for quick and easy preparation of the printing process. At the heart of the system: the PrograPrint PR5 printer delivers highly precise results and intuitive operation, enabling dental technicians to elevate their technical prowess to a new level.
For the final steps, PrograPrint Clean and PrograPrint Cure are available – efficient cleaning units and post-curing stations seamlessly integrated into the 3D printing workflow. The entire system is designed to meet the demands of modern dental technology, delivering reliable performance at every stage.
With the introduction of Ivotion Base Print, Ivoclar strengthens its position as an innovative leader in digital dentistry, offering dental technicians worldwide a powerful solution for the efficient fabrication of esthetic dental restorations.
