Timeless design – great value

Undoubtedly, packaging is essential for protecting, transporting and delivering products of all kinds in good condition to their destination. Without packaging, products would often arrive damaged at their destination.

Transport and protection

The first and most important function of product packaging is protection. It protects the product from all external influences such as dirt, moisture, sunlight and dust and ensures that it arrives at the user without being scratched or damaged.

Free of plastics

In general, there is a growing interest in eco-friendly packaging. Many people consider paper, cardboard and glass to be more sustainable materials, as they can be recycled back into the material cycle as raw materials. The focus is on avoiding plastic in order to ensure biodegradability. It is important to opt for packaging that is made from renewable or organic raw materials. Single-material packaging is particularly suitable for a convenient disposal, as it does not have to be separated into its individual components and can be fed directly into the appropriate material cycle.

Functional

However, the most important aspect of packaging is not just how it looks. Above all, packaging has to be one thing: functional! This means that it must be easy and quick to open and close and ideally, it should clearly show what is inside at first sight. After extensive exchange with our customers, who gave us valuable feedback, we have developed a new packaging for the IPS e.max Press ingots. This collaborative approach let us to not only select a fibre-based material, but also revise the packaging concept completely to enable a more convenient handling. The outer label clearly describes which material (translucency level, shade, size) is in the box. This can also be recognised at first glance after opening. Removing the ingots is also easy and uncomplicated. In addition, the new outer packaging allows the rectangular IPS e.max Press boxes be stacked easily, safely and efficiently.

Recyclable and with multiple benefits

Once the packages have served their original purpose as packaging for the IPS e.max Press ingots, they can be used for other purposes, e.g. at home or in the office, as they are sturdy and of a practical size for storing small items. If you have no other use, you can recycle the cardboard packaging*. It can be taken to the waste paper recycling collection centre where it is shredded and cleaned. The resulting paper pulp is mixed with new materials and reintroduced into the production process to be used as a raw material for other products.

You can look forward to the new IPS e.max Press packaging, designed for optimised handling, reduced material usage, and with a plastic-free composition. Because by protecting the environment, we can create a healthier future for us all.
