Terms & Conditions - Dental Progress Award 2023/24

The competition is organized by Ivoclar Vivadent GmbH, Tech Gate Vienna, Donau-City-Strasse 1, 1220 Vienna, and is aimed exclusively at finishing year and postgraduate dental students born after 01^st of January 1995.

The competition will be held for students studying in these countries only: Austria, Albania, Bosnia Herzegovina, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Hungary, North Macedonia, Republic of Serbia, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Greece.

In order to participate in the competition, students must fill in the registration form and give their consent to participate in the competition. The registration will be done online on the following website: https://www.ivoclar.com/de_at/academy/dpa .  

The task is to make an intraoral 2nd class restoration on a patient using the Efficient Esthetics kit. Each step must be documented. Three winners will be selected from among the submitted cases. The first placed winner will receive a voucher for visiting a course at the Ivoclar Academy Vienna in the value of a maximum of EUR 1000, travel and accommodation needed for this course. The second placed in the competition, the third placed in the competition and each best placed participant from each country will receive a voucher for participation in a course organized for this purpose at Ivoclar Academy, Vienna, Austria (equivalent price of EUR 500) including travel and accommodation costs.

Only finishing year students and postgraduate students of dentistry can participate in the competition. Employees of Ivoclar Vivadent AG and its group companies as well as their family members are excluded from participation. Participation in the name of others (by proxy / representation of third parties), also in the form of communities or similar associations, is not permitted. There is no entitlement to participate. 110 contest places are available.

Contest period: November 21^st, 2023 – May 28^th , 2024

Deadline for registration December 20^th, 2023  12:00 (CET).

Registered persons will be informed whether they occupy one of the 110 competition places. The "first come, first serve" rule applies here, within the registration keys per country:

Name, address, e-mail address and other required data must be provided truthfully. Incomplete entry forms will not be considered valid. The 110 notified participants will attend a live webinar on January 18^th , 2024, where the work order will be explained in detail. Participation in the webinar is mandatory. In the meantime, the 110 kits for the contest participants will be sent out. Those who have not received a kit until January 22^nd, 2024, please contact: dpa@ivoclar.com.

Participation in the competition is free of charge. By entering the competition, participants accept these conditions of participation.

Ivoclar Vivadent GmbH reserves the right to change or terminate the competition at any time without the participants being able to object.

The personal data of the participants will not be passed on to third parties and will be processed exclusively for the purpose and duration of the implementation or handling of the competition, unless consent has been given for further use. Consent to data processing can be revoked at any time at dataprotection.vienna@ivoclarvivadent.com. In the event of a revocation, the personal data will be deleted, with the consequence that participation in the competition is no longer possible.

A cash payment, an exchange for other non-cash assets and / or a transfer of the prize to another person are not possible.

The developed cases of the participants must be documented by means of photos, videos and descriptions and submitted to the e-mail address dpa@ivoclar.com of March 30^th, 2024, 12:00 (CET). Cases that have not been submitted by that time will not be considered for evaluation. A jury of 5 experts will then evaluate the submitted cases and award points in different categories. The submission with the most points will take first place, and the one with the second most points will take second place. The winners will be determined by May 28^th , 2024, 12:00 (CET) presented in the webinar, and notified of the prize no later than March 30^th  , 2024, 12:00 (CET). Notification will be sent to the email address provided by the participants. If we do not receive a case submission from confirmed participants, Ivoclar Vivadent GmbH reserves the right to charge for the Efficient Esthetics Kit. The value of the kit is EUR 120,-.

Publication of Media Content

During the competition, media content may be produced by the organizer (quotes, interviews, images and/or audio and video material). Participants agree, that the media content as well as the first and last name may be made available to the general public (media such as newspapers, radio and TV stations, Internet, social media, etc.) as well as internally to all employees of Ivoclar Vivadent AG and its affiliated companies (intranet, employee magazine) for further use and may be published. Participants may withdraw their consent at any time. The withdrawal of consent shall be effective from the date of receipt and solely for the future. The withdrawal of consent shall not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

The corporate communication of Ivoclar Vivadent AG comprises external and internal communication, corporate brochures, online communication and social media activities. The media content can be combined, modified, scaled or cut together with other materials such as visuals, graphics or text.

Participants waive any claim to royalties or other compensation arising from or related to the use of the media content. Participants shall grant use worldwide without time restriction - including reprinting and passing on the rights of use to third parties.

Participants cannot derive any claims from their participation in the competition. The legal process is excluded.

Austrian law is exclusively applicable under exclusion of the conflict of laws.
